Once your track is published and distributed to streaming platforms and music stores, making modifications can be a bit more complex. However, at Dishamusic , we strive to offer flexibility to our artists. Here's what you need to know:
- Metadata Changes: Minor updates, such as tweaking the track title, adjusting genre tags, or updating album art, can usually be done without removing the track from platforms. Navigate to the track in your dashboard and make the necessary changes. Keep in mind, it may take a few days for changes to reflect across all platforms.
- Audio File Modifications: If you wish to change the actual audio file – for example, uploading a remastered version – this is more involved. Most platforms require the track to be re-uploaded as a new release. This means the original version might need to be taken down, and the updated track would have a new release date and might lose its accumulated streams or metrics.
- Track Removal: If you decide to completely remove a track, you can do so from your Dishamusic dashboard. Remember that removing a track means it will no longer be available for streaming or purchase. Even after removing tracks, the associated streaming data and metrics will remain accessible in your Dishamusic Dashboard.
- Potential Delays: Any changes or updates sent to streaming platforms and stores might have processing times. It's advisable to plan updates in advance, especially if coordinating with promotional activities.
While Dishamusic provides tools and options for post-release modifications, it's always a good practice to thoroughly review and finalize tracks before the initial publication to minimize post-release changes.
